Media Economies Design Lab
UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO BOULDER
During the second half of 2022, MEDLab led seven communities to explore together the needs, ethics, and challenges of emerging decentralized technologies. What began as an errant search for practical tools became an exploration of ritual, relationship, and poetics. This fully illustrated, 80-page zine compiles reflections and learnings from the Sacred Stacks cohort.
The result, if we may say so, is beautiful.
Thanks to a partnership with Metalabel—the new project of a Kickstarter co-founder and a co-op veteran, and other talented folks—we are releasing the zine as a limited-edition NFT. The proceeds will go to the participating communities and contributors. But the zine is also free for everyone. Get yours here:

This event features two Harvard-based scholar-activsts who take seriously media that others would prefer to ignore, from the utterances of Kanye West to online havens of White nationalism. Together, they will guide an exploration of how the tactics and ideas circulating in some of culture's most dangerous spaces could be shaping the political possibilities of the future.
Come in person at CU Boulder, at Hale Science 270 on April 12 at 5 p.m. Details here.
This event is made possible by a gift from the Moon Song Fund.
